Crisis Behavior Management Training brings together a clear understanding of human behavior and early intervention skills, with a primary focus on Prevention of client aggression  and Anger De-escalation Techniques.  We focus our training on helping individuals deal with crisis behaviours in others.  The key to all crisis training is self-awareness and client understanding.  Therefore we offer several courses that look at crisis issues from a few different directions; from Self-Harm, Cultural Understanding, and Workplace Violence.

CBMT training promotes communication, mediation skills, therapeutic relationships, and creative avoidance techniques.  CBMT training believes that when professionals are correctly trained to respond to people they will be able to reduce violent confrontations, self-harm and thereby decrease staff and the crisis individual injury.  In doing so, the results will be a healthy environment that enables our clients and staff alike to feel safe.

OUR GOALS
  • To de-escalate and/or prevent a negative behavior from occurring.
  • To indentify situations, which may incite a crisis individual to display violent behavior.
  • To incorporate the most effective strategies using the least intrusive approach possible.
