A Crisis Intervention Course Designed Specifically for working with Children and Youth.
The PACE Course is a comprehensive two-day-program. This course offers a 3 Year Certificate approved by the CAC standards for all Children and Youth Care Workers in Canada.
When dealing with potentially violent situations it is important to know who you are de-escalating and what potential liability concerns may arise. This course is specifically designed to help those working with Children and Youth to use effective techniques and precautions when trying to de-escalate. PACE promotes communication and mediation skills, therapeutic relationships and creative avoidance techniques, coupled with excellent intensive training on safe two person restraints. The DAVwe Course is a comprehensive two-day-program. When dealing with the unknown client we are always faced with the possibility of dealing with a crisis at any given moment. Although we can't prevent every crisis from occurring, there is much we can do in the ways of prevention, preparation and skill development to lower the risk of violent attacks happening.
This course is designed to help employees and employers think through potential situations, equip themselves, and lower risk and liability for all involved. In turbulent times we must be prepared for the unexpected. We don't want to live in paranoia, so we believe in the best of people, but prepare for the worst.

A course to help those working with children and youth with Self-Harming Behaviours. One of the most difficult things for us to understand is why someone will deliberately inflict pain to themselves. This Half-Day course will give you some insights into the different motivations of self-harming behaviour, help you learn helpful communications with these individuals, and give you some tools to help an individual to eliminate these tendancies.
